A police officer died unfortunately after being hit by a Tesla car in China, according to the latest police report.

On May 17, a Tesla car collided with two police officers who were handling the accident on an elevated bridge in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province. causing two people to be hospitalized, one of whom was seriously injured.

The traffic department of the Taizhou Municipal Public Security Bureau released a police report on 17 May, that 2 police officers were hurt in the accident, one of them was seriously injured. The two injured have been taken to hospital for resuscitation. And the Tesla driver involved has been controlled by the public security authorities to accept further investigation.

On the second day of the accident, Tesla responded that it had contacted the relevant departments and reported the issue as soon as it got the news, and would fully cooperate with the investigation of the relevant departments. It will not disclose any more information before the results of the investigation are announced.

Taizhou Municipal Public Security Bureau reported on Tuesday that the seriously injured police officer, unfortunately died with exhaustive rescue attempts. And another injured one has been out of life-threatening condition. The Tesla driver has been in criminal detention by the police for alleged traffic collision.
