TSMC postpones construction of Japanese factory due to US policy

According to the Wall Street Journal on July 4, people familiar with the matter said that TSMC is delaying the construction of its second factory in Japan. One reason is that the company is accelerating its investment in expansion in the United States before the Trump administration may impose tariffs.
