TSMC expands investment in Kaohsiung P4 and P5 plants and plans to start construction next year

According to Cailianshe, citing the Taiwan Economic Daily, TSMC continues to expand its investment in Kaohsiung and plans to start the expansion plan on the land east of the P3 plant to continue the advanced process. It is expected to be completed and apply for a license in 2026, and will produce 2-nanometer or more advanced process chips. The expanded P4 and P5 plants are expected to start construction in 2025.
