The Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission issued the "Shanghai Brain-Computer Interface Future Industry Cultivation Action Plan (2025-2030)". It is proposed that by 2030, high-quality brain control will be achieved, brain-computer interface products will be fully clinically applied, a global brain-computer interface product innovation highland will be created, and the core links of the industrial chain will be independently controllable. A series of invasive and semi-invasive brain-computer interface products have entered the medical device registration and approval stage to help blind patients partially restore their visual abilities; help paralyzed patients partially restore their tactile perception and motor abilities; and provide new treatment methods for brain diseases such as refractory epilepsy and severe depression. The upstream industrial chain of brain-computer interfaces has basically achieved localization, realizing the integrated development of brain-computer interfaces with artificial intelligence and virtual reality. Create a national-level brain-computer interface industry development cluster, and many brain-computer interface companies have formed global influence, and the development of brain-computer interface industry has become the backbone of strategic emerging industries.
