An Intel executive said whether to spin off the company remains an open question, according to Bloomberg.
Whether to formally split the factory and product-development divisions is an open question that will be decided by the next leader, Intel's Chief Financial Officer Dave Zinsner said.
Zinsner, who is now serving as interim co-chief executive officer after Pat Gelsinger was forced to step down earlier this month, made the comments while attending the Barclays Technology Conference in San Francisco on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Intel's other co-CEO, Michelle Johnston Holthaus, was also present.
