Asia Tech Wire (Oct 15) -- The 44th Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX) opened in Dubai, UAE on Monday with artificial intelligence in the spotlight.

The five-day show has attracted more than 6,500 exhibitors from more than 180 countries and regions.

There are five main themes at the show, including tech investment, super AI, cybersecurity, data management and futurism.

Artificial intelligence, especially generative AI, was the biggest focus of this year's show.
