Japan is considering a plan to subsidize the construction of Tesla electric vehicle charging stations amid tariff negotiations with the United States, Japanese TV station TBS reported on Saturday. The Japanese government currently only subsidizes the installation of charging stations for Japan's CHAdeMO standard, not Tesla's Supercharger. TBS said the U.S. Trade Representative has expressed concerns about the issue and asked for improvements.
