Hong Kong stocks opened low and ended high, with the Hang Seng Technology Index rising by more than 1%, after falling by more than 1.5%. The Hang Seng Index rose by more than 0.4%. Laopu Gold rose by more than 8%, and SMIC rose by more than 5%.
